Coffee was first introduced to Kenya in 1893 when the Fathers of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit brought Arabica trees from Ethiopia and planted them in the Kiambu district, north of the city of Nairobi.
Kia-Ora Farm’s awareness of global environmental issues and the production of a high quality product are core components of their business. They recognize the need for environmentally friendly farming techniques and encourage the inter-cropping of macadamia and coffee as both crops complement each other.
